WOM Slam 4: Breakfast for the Cause…
August 11, 2009
Our first not-for-profit WOM Slam (but #4 overall) was for a fantastic cause and, once again, the WOM Slammer community responded with some great ideas.
“On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate this a 10!” said William Neuheisel, Communications Manager at the DC Central Kitchen, our “client” for the morning.
Why?
Because the four competing teams all came to contribute their brainpower to help this worthwhile organization cost-effectively spread the word about their noble mission.
And just what is that?
Well, watch this video from Earlie Green who shared his personal journey from Prison to Chef.
And then check out what Anthony Johnson has to say about his course to become a Chef (he’s studying sauteeing this week).
These guys were the reason 20 people WOM Slammed.
To help train people to get off the streets, stay out of prison, and be great chefs.
They do catering for events (so DC area folks…give ‘em a call) or tweet them
But don’t take it from me, here is what Elizabeth, a participant in the Slam, had to say about her experiences and perspective on the morning and what her team suggested, alas—they didn’t win :-(
