Was just reading through Microsoft’s annual report and came across the balance sheet. I noticed the line that said “Goodwill”

measured at $12.5 Billion dollars.

That’s right, how people feel about the company is valued at a number roughly equal to the GDP of Botswana.

I’ve said before that I think we’ll see a day soon when Raving Fans are listed as assets on a balance sheet.

Now that I am reminded that we already have some “fuzzy math” that passes for balance sheet calculations, I am more convinced than ever! ;-)
