When you meet Derek Coburn of Washington Financial Group, you run into a bundle of marketing energy.image

The guy is ALWAYS doing something of value.

But, where he really excels, and why he is the latest recipient of the Never Stop Marketing is his embodiment of Reed’s Law.

Derek is constantly committed to bringing his community together.

In the span of 1 month, he organized a number of lunches for 10-12 members of his network where the sole goal was introducing them to each other.

He followed up multiple (but value-added) times to ensure that connections which were made were cemented.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, he also took the time for one-off or smaller group notes where he suggested synergies and partnership opportunities based on an insight he had and his deeper understanding of each individual’s competencies and interests.

And the best part?

He does all of this with NO EXPECTATION of anything in return.

Really.

He genuinely wants others to succeed.

That’s it.

So, what happens?

People see that he acts with no self-interest and they WANT TO HELP him succeed. It’s natural.

It’s also great marketing…which never stops Winking smile
