What’s In a Name?

August 7, 2008

Blog reader Tom is calling me out for not having an “official name” for my consulting venture.

I’m open to suggestions.

I kind of like “Jer979” but not sure that works.

Winner gets:

  • a good marketing book (I’ll give you three to choose from)
  • a call out, link, and picture on the blog
  • Your picture on the next set of business cards I order from Moo.com (seriously)

Submit via comments. I’ll select top 3 and allow community to vote.

Ah, perpetual beta lives.

it is heard from our master and teacher seth bar godin, saying: 'name is brand'.

you are not faceless supermegacorp, inc. no "name" is necessary.

A name is whatever you make it, but cool names get a pass for being cool.

if you're looking for a new name how about: JER1M3, J.Stein, Jerrymander, Jereps or how about an anagram of your name "My Erie Jet Pens".

Daniel-some good ideas here. You a naming consultant? ;-)

I kind of like "Jerrymander"

Agreed though...it's what you make of it
