The thing that irritates me most about Mitch Joel's post, Start a Movement, is that I didn't write it first :-)
When I meet with potential clients (or even existing ones), and we talk about Community Driven Marketing, the need for Raving Fans and how it all comes together, the question I ALWAYS ask (go ahead, ask them) is "what movement are you trying to start?"
Or, as you loyal blog readers might say, "what revolution are you trying to ignite?" ;-)
Because, as Mitch correctly points out, if there's nothing that stirs people's passions, social media can't really help you all that much.
And, anything can be a movement, you just need to frame it that way.
My movement: Get people to believe for themselves and for their companies that they should NEVER STOP MARKETING.
What's your movement?
