Increase Your Odds of Being Remarkable...

Whether it's a formal program or not, odds are that you and your business depends on partners for your success.

Partners take on all shapes and sizes.

But, no matter what, the simple fact is, if you invest in your partners ability to tell their story as a natural extension of your story, there's a pretty good chance that you will sell more.

As an ex-Microsoft employee, there's a lot of which to be proud in my former company, but I've also been quite critical of Microsoft's ability to effectively tell a story (particularly around CRM).

Yet, it seems like a recession creates necessity and we all know what necessity is the mother of...

So, I was very excited and honored to get invited to be a guest speaker at the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Incubation week in late December.

What Sanjay and his team are doing is inviting ISV's whose solutions are built upon the Microsoft CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform into an intensive 5 day workshop. During the workshop, product development is done every night by an offshore team in India and each day, the partner companies refine their offering.

I have no idea if it will work, but it's noteworthy that the investment is being made.

If you want to be remarkable, figure out how to help make your complementary partners remarkable.
